About Us

When you walk through the door of Signature Desserts along Route 88 in Castle Shannon, you are usually greeted warmly with a cheery hello from owners, Steve and Linda Mueser or one of their friendly assistants. Our once tiny, one man bakery, has since grown into a full scale operation, complete with a fleet of mini-vans delivering baked goods to well over 100 restaurants, country clubs and caterers in the Greater Pittsburgh area. Our shop now boasts over 10 employees and business is still growing. Here you can find professionally trained pastry chefs preparing apple pie or Black Forest cake.

The menu is fairly extensive, consisting of everything from their famous Death by Chocolate cake to Pear Almond Torte to Pumpkin Cheesecake. Fresh, Homemade Pies and Tarts are made daily. Birthday Cakes, Sheet Cakes, Cookies and Brownies and fabulous, award winning Wedding cakes are all offered with a personal touch.

"All of our baked goods are still hand made using only the freshest and finest ingredients and most important of all, no preservatives, that's really important to our customers" boasts Steve.
